FAQs

What is the NEFGE

NEFGE, the National Education For Government Employees, serves as an educational platform offering training sessions to assist federal employees in comprehending the intricacies of their FERS and CSRS benefits. Additionally, NEFGE is comprised qualified professionals (licensed and/or certified) including CPAs, Enrolled Agents, and Insurance Professionals who are all extensively trained in federal benefits who can help and give you professional advice if you so desire.

Can the NEFGE help all government employees?

In regards to our educational information it can benefit the vast majority of people. Our services, unfortunately, cannot help everyone as not everyone qualifies with enough years of service to the government. If you have worked a minimum of 5 years and 62 years old or have more than 20 years of service then there is a high likelihood our services may be a benefit to you.

How do your trainings help FERS and CERS recipients?

Our trainings are geared to give you the highest level understanding of what you need to do in retirement to retire optimally. All information in the training is general and is not legal, tax, retirement, or professional advice. Professional advice can only be ascertained with a direct consultation based on your individual needs.

What is the cost of your trainings?

Our trainings are offered at no-cost to the recipient. They are offered to give high-level ideas of what can be a benefit to government employees.

How does the NEFGE get compensated?

First, by being invited to speak about educational matters in regards to retirement. Second, by paying for our professional services should you decide to use our services.
